Just Stories Online Storytelling Festival

Published on July 29, 2012 in random

Some stellar storytellers over at RaceBridges.net are hosting an online Storytelling Festival August 1, 2 & 3. It is a free Facebook event with unlimited seating. Every hour from 8 am to midnight (CDT) they will be posting a new video featuring stories that can help heal our racial and ethnic divides. Over 70 humorous, heartwarming and thought provoking stories by 43 professional story artists! You can comment, ask questions and share your stories, too.

For the last 10 years, the JustStories festival has brought together diverse storytellers to develop, write and perform stories that deal with ethnic identity, race relations and other differences.  You’ll hear stories about race relations, belonging, understanding how it feels to be an “outsider,” and exploring the unique aspects of the global human family.    Expect to be entertained – to laugh, to cry, to celebrate, to come away with a new perspective about those in your world.

You are invited

To attend just like the JustStories Facebook Page (www.Facebook.com/juststories) and click on the events tab to join.
You can download the schedule of events here: https://www.facebook.com/juststories

Facebook’s guidelines require that those using it are at least 13 years old, so it is an ideal platform for these stories.  Intended for high school age students to adults, entertaining and touching stories will discuss the topics of race relations and social justice.
